Studio Koen van den Broek is delighted to host the upcoming exhibition “Near and Far – Local Perspectives, Global Visions” showcasing the compelling works of two distinguished photographers whose artistry offers a rich exploration of both local intimacy and global explorations.

Jef Van Eynde captures the essence of his own neighborhood, finding inspiration by focusing on the intimate habitat of renowned artists who have their studios in the area. Through his lens, viewers are invited into the creative space of these celebrated artists, such as Koen van den Broek or Raoul de Keyser, providing a unique perspective on the intersection of art and locality.

In contrast, Herman Gommé embarks on journeys across the globe, capturing views that intrigue him for inexplicable reasons, mainly because they represent the unknown and the novelty of being there for the first time. His work reflects a deep curiosity and appreciation for the global tapestry he encounters on his travels. Each photograph offers a window into different cultures and landscapes, showcasing universal connections and contrasts.

“Near and Far – Local Perspectives, Global Visions” promises a thought-provoking exploration of local and global perspectives through the lenses of these two remarkable artists. Join us in discovering the extraordinary within both the familiar and the foreign.
